The Malayali Community Embraces Poem COVID-19 Wholeheartedly

The Malayali Community Embraces Poem COVID-19 Wholeheartedly People were used to complaining about a short time even though they had a long to-do-list, now have enough and more of time in their hands due to the COVID virus. Currently, our social media platforms have turned into an art festival stage as talents in quarantine have geared up to develop their artistic skills choosing COVID as a topic. Among the other such poems which released during this lockdown, Hollywood Director and poet Dr. Sohan Roy’s poem “COVID-19” stands out for its unique style of contents, music, and recitation. COVID-19, which was also written and recited by Sohan Roy, is gaining much recognition like wildfire. In just a few days from its release, the poem, with its English sub-titles and graphics, reached one million views on various social media. The poet’s imagination relates this COVID period to the “great world war.” Alongside, in contrast to the other COVID poems released on social media this season, Sohan Roy’s poem was a collective reflection of positive as well as negative experiences this great pandemic COVID has bestowed upon us. Through this poem, we can grasp how this universe, which is comprehensive of everything from grass blades to the stars, reacted in whispered tones to the silence when the uproars of the human race in dictatorial tone stood still at least for a moment. Poet believes that the realization that even the atom, which is the minutest element in the universe, has the power to terrorize the world countries, including the significant superpowers, will help humans to eliminate the arrogance that earth revolves on their fingertips. This new version of the virus even came into existence by crumbling the iron fort of dictatorship, The Great Wall of China. Through this poem, we can see the picture of the “superpowers” with the ability to resist even the disaster sowing atom bombs, standing and staring helplessly at this virus crossing bounds and killing their own citizens. The lines depict philosophy topped with a tinge of humor, which is the method in which the virus has cleansed our society. COVID-19 virus has now leashed harmful elements like air pollution, drug mafia, begging mafia, robber gangs to ventilators. When human influence shrinks to their burrows, who other than the virus will draw the picture of freely roaming beasts coming out of holes unafraid of humans? Ones who raced the share market bull to heights playing the guessing business, have toppled and now lie in the...

Institut Le Rosey – The Hidden Truth Behind The Most Expensive School In The World

Institut Le Rosey – The Hidden Truth Behind The Most Expensive School In The World Distressed Indian parents left to fend for their daughter’s rights with the school’s disgraceful demeanour of protecting the offenders New Delhi, 7 May 2020: Institut Le Rosey, commonly referred to as Le Rosey or simply Rosey and one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland is embroiled in a disgraceful situation because of its failure and the serious lack of sensitivity to deal with bullying towards an Indian student. The title of the most expensive private school in the world goes to Institut Le Rosey, with an annual tuition of $115,000 (basic fees plus costs) per year. However, the recent incident of a student from a renowned family from India being subjected to harrowing mental and emotional harassment, at the behest of her fellow students and painfully negligent faculty, puts a serious dent on the image and credibility of such schools that are already charging an exorbitant fee. Serious allegations have been raised that the elitist school failed to protect their daughter from bullying which ultimately led to serious cyber harassment and attacks towards the young teen. The case is an eye opener for all parents that work hard their entire life to send their children to such seemingly prestigious schools and begs the question ‘Is the name tag ultimately worth it?” As Indian origin parents Radhika & Pankaj Oswal realized! As responsible parents they too had many dreams for their daughter and thought that sending their daughter to an institution like Le Rosey would provide her with not just a world-class education but also the best pastoral care. But they say that “It has become clear, however, that the standards of the school have dropped in recent years, and it is now fast becoming just a playground for rich students to do as they please.” Commenting on the incident, Radhika Oswal, parent of aggrieved student said “We are disappointed and appalled at the treatment that has been given to our daughter by an institute, and the faculty that has failed miserably to uphold its own code of conduct. The values that the institute ostensibly imparts pertaining to ‘respect’ and ‘physical integrity’ as well as for the ‘religious, philosophical and political convictions’ of students, have been made a mockery of, and are at this point nothing but marketing whitewash!.” Following a serious set of bullying incidents against their child, the parents raised their concerns to the school and asked for action to be taken to ensure their child’s safety....
