Mumbai / Pune: The revered mother of Sangmitra Gaikwad, State Secretary of RPI (Athawale Group), Maharashtra, passed away on 4th November at Wakad, Pune, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and inspiration. In her fond memory, a memorial prayer ceremony (Punyānummodan) has been organized on 16th November at her residence in Turori, Taluka Udgir, District Dharashiv. On this solemn occasion, family members, relatives, social workers, and political associates will gather together to pray for the peace of the departed soul. All well-wishers — Parvati Abhimanyu Belamkar, Shakti Gupta, Tulshiram Shil Ratna Gaikwad, Sangmitra Tai Shripati Gaikwad, Satyashil Tulshiram Gaikwad, Mayadevi Mahesh Kate, Vaishali Jaydev Randive, along with all relatives, supporters, and social companions — are humbly requested to attend the ceremony and offer their heartfelt tributes to the departed soul, and extend their support to the bereaved family in this hour of grief. Late Bhama Bai Tulshiram Gaikwad led a life of courage and determination. Nearly 40 years ago, after the demise of her husband Tulshiram Gaikwad, she refused to surrender to circumstances. With immense perseverance, she raised and educated her four daughters and three sons, nurturing them with strong values and discipline. Today, their entire family of seven siblings stands as a shining example of an educated, value-driven, and progressive household. Among the family members are MDs, doctors, engineers, lawyers, M.Tech and MBA professionals, entrepreneurs, and teachers. Many have pursued higher education in Egypt, England, Chapra (Bihar), and various parts of India, bringing pride to the family. The extended family also includes principals, former corporators, supervisors from Kirloskar Company, PTA members, journalists, and socially active individuals. Their sons-in-law and daughters are also highly educated and actively engaged in social service. The life and legacy of Bhama Bai Gaikwad remain a living example of resilience, sacrifice, and the power of education and values passed through generations.
