Actress Sonia Sharma Shines As Adhura Khuaab Movie Gets International Recognition!

Transitions have never been  easy. They aren’t meant to be. It’s not impossible either. From being news channel anchor to acting in tv serials (Vignaharta Ganesha, Veer Shivaji in a lead, Kabhi Kabhi Ittefaq Sey, latest being Tenalirama) to doing music video albums to acting in movies (recent being in a lead role), the vivacious and supremely talented Sonia Sharma seems to have traversed a full circle! Now comes the heartwarming news of her newest movie, Adhura Khuaab (where she’s the lead heroine and protagonist with Ali Merchant, former tv star) produced by Faizuddin Siddique (brother of Bollywood’s master actor  Nawazuddin Siddique) and Sabba Siddique and directed by former supermodel and actor Shadab Khan, hitting international movie headlines. Not only has the masterpiece movie been nominated and honoured in various prestigious international film festivals in various categories, the biggest news that has catapulted Sonia to the proverbial cloud nine is that she has been nominated not once but two times as Best Actress (from India) by two separate reputed film festivals in Canada namely ALTFF Film Festival, and Couch Film Festival,Toronto along with high caliber actresses like Monica Keena – How To Survive Hollywood (Netherlands) and Marie France Louis – Howl Of The Blue Moon (USA). “It has been an amazing journey! Well, I have been in acting field for quite some time.  But there was always one role I was craving, until Adhura Khuaab (Incomplete Dream) happened to me,” says an excited Sonia whose recent movie Riwaj with actor Aftab Shivdasani released on Zee5 had received mixed reviews. Sonia also had played a cameo role in Akshay Kumar starrer hit movie OMG. Sonia adds, “When Faiz sir narrated the script to me, I was instantly drawn to it. I knew I could not miss the chance to play Rubi — a small-town Muslim girl deeply in love with her husband but unable to conceive, facing the suffocating pressure of the people around her. It was a heart-wrenching story that touched me deeply.” Later, when Faiz brought in Shadab, himself an award-winning director, he too connected strongly with the story. “Together, we poured our hearts and souls into it, and I am so proud of the result. Not a single frame of the film feels fake — and it’s not just me saying it, the kind of response it is receiving at festivals and from audiences around the world speaks for itself,” tells Sonia even as Shadab, Faiz and...

Teaser Of Vijeyta Unveiled: A Real-Life Epic Of Resilience, Struggle And Triumph

Mumbai: The official teaser of Vijeyta has been released, and it is already creating ripples in the industry. Directed by Rajiv S Ruia and produced by Dr. Rajesh K Agarwal under the banner of RKG Movies, the film is set to bring alive one of the most inspiring real-life journeys ever told on Indian cinema. The teaser opens with raw, emotional visuals — a young man working tirelessly in a modest setting, symbolizing his humble beginnings. The mood shifts as quick flashes of betrayal, rivalry, and looming threats from the underworld play across the screen, hinting at the turbulent challenges that lie ahead. The protagonist’s transformation is powerfully depicted — from a struggling youth fighting to make ends meet, to a determined entrepreneur rising above adversity. The teaser crescendos with a shot of the central character standing tall before a roaring crowd, underscoring the film’s tagline: “Zero to Hero: A Real Life Journey.” The film stars Ravi Bhatia in a gritty lead role, supported by Gyan Prakash, Bharti Awasthi, Diksha Thakur, Godaan Kumar, Pretty Aggarwal, among others. Written by acclaimed lyricist and storyteller Sandeep Nath, the narrative blends personal triumphs with larger-than-life challenges, reflecting the true story of Dr. Rajesh K Agarwal. Dr. Agarwal’s life has all the ingredients of a modern-day epic. Born into a middle-class Kolkata family, he began as a teenage labourer to support his father’s small hosiery business. From packaging nylon undergarments in the 1970s to building a flourishing garment empire, his story is one of sheer perseverance. His leap into the world of sustainable metal recycling later saw him establish RKG International FZC, now a global giant with operations in 33 countries. Today, Agarwal is not only a business leader but also a philanthropist championing education, healthcare, and environmental causes. Speaking about the film, director Rajiv S Ruia said, “The teaser is only a glimpse of what audiences can expect. Vijeyta is an emotional and inspirational saga — a story of rising above fear, loss, and corruption to stand as a beacon of hope. Dr. Agarwal’s journey is cinematic in every sense.” The teaser’s visual palette — a mix of sepia tones for the past, stark contrasts for moments of conflict, and larger-than-life wide shots for triumph — has been particularly praised by film critics and fans online. It sets the stage for what promises to be a moving, motivational, and visually compelling narrative. Slated to release on 19th September 2025, Vijeyta is already...
