“The Pulse Of Harmony” Solo Show Of Paintings By Dadasaheb Yadav In Jehangir Art Gallery

From: 24th to 30th November 2025 “The Pulse of Harmony” Solo Show of Paintings By well-known artist Dadasaheb Yadav VENUE: Jehangir Art Gallery, 161-B, M.G. Road Kala Ghoda, Mumbai 400001 Timing -11am to 7pm. Dadasaheb Yadav: The Pulse of Harmony Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai In this new body of work, Dadasaheb Yadav steps away from the representational terrains that once anchored his explorations of monsoon, earth, and the fragrant immediacy of Earth. Instead, he enters the atmospheric unknown; an arena where gesture becomes geography, colour becomes emotion, and abstraction becomes a language of its own unrestrained logic. These watercolour and mixed-media surfaces carry forward his lifelong fidelity to nature, but they no longer describe it; they distill it. The works surge with washes of violet, viridian, cobalt, cadmium gold, and sudden explosions of black; strokes that feel like weather rather than depiction. Yadav has always been an artist tuned into elemental rhythms. Here, those rhythms unspool into pure energy. The paintings breathe in gradients, drips, and splashes, suggesting the moment before a storm breaks, the hush between waves, the twilight blur of sky dissolving into land. But this time, the harmony he invokes is not pastoral; it is kinetic, restless, charged with the honesty of lived experience. These abstractions demonstrate an artist unafraid to cut away the literal. What remains is an emotional architecture: atmospheres rather than landscapes, sensations rather than scenes. The viewer is invited into a space where colour becomes memory, movement becomes intuition, and the boundary between internal and external worlds collapses. This is harmony understood not as quietude, but as equilibrium born out of flux, nature’s true state. Yadav’s mature confidence is evident in his handling of fluid media: bleeding edges that resist containment, fields of pigment that collide yet hold their ground. His gestures feel both spontaneous and inevitable, as if the work knows how to form itself. The paintings echo the lineage of abstract expressionism yet remain unmistakably rooted in his own sensibility, devotional to nature but no longer beholden to its forms. In these works, Dadasaheb Yadav offers viewers not a window to the world but a mirror to their own internal weather. The visual intensity, the chromatic rush, the raw immediacy, all converge into a profound reminder that harmony is not found; it is felt, encountered, and made anew each time the colours meet. —-Sushma Sabnis – Mumbai, November 2025   “The Pulse Of Harmony” Solo Show Of Paintings By Dadasaheb Yadav In...

Anup Jalota Steals Hearts As Bahar-E-Urdu 2025 Concludes In Splendour At Dome SVP Stadium

As the golden lights shimmered inside Dome SVP Stadium, the grand finale of Bahar-E-Urdu 2025 unfolded — marking 50 glorious years of the Maharashtra Urdu Sahitya Academy. The evening was a breathtaking celebration of words, wit, and the warmth of a language that continues to define India’s cultural conscience. The day began with youthful exuberance at the Inter-Collegiate Bait Baazi, where young poets from across Maharashtra paid tribute to the legends of Urdu through verses that sang of love, longing, and laughter. Hosted by Shamim Iqbal Momin and Mukhlis Madoo, the competition proved that Urdu’s legacy rests safe in the hands — and hearts — of the next generation. A poignant theatrical presentation, Zameen Ka Ek Tukda by Iqbal Niyazi, followed — its narrative laced with emotion, echoing themes of belonging and humanity. Laughter found its moment through Hasya Kavi Kaleem Samar, whose humour shone with linguistic brilliance, while Monika Singh, Additional Collector, Solapur, lent grace and gravitas with her evocative shayari. And then came the night’s divine crescendo. Anup Jalota, the maestro of melody, took the stage — and with each ghazal, filled the Dome with reverence and nostalgia. His voice was a bridge between the classical and the contemporary, between devotion and desire. Reflecting on Urdu’s essence, he said, “Urdu is not a language you speak — it is the breath you take when your heart begins to sing.” The celebrations deepened with the Awards Ceremony, hosted by Shekhar Suman and Priya Malik, honouring poets, teachers, journalists, and authors whose words have shaped the course of Urdu literature. Each award was not just a recognition — it was a bow to fifty years of commitment to culture and creativity. Finally, Shabab Sabri’s powerful Qawwali resonated the Dome, adding the electrifying cresendo to the charged ambience. And a the National Anthem played and the curtains descended, Bahar-E-Urdu left behind more than applause — it left behind a promise. A promise that Urdu will continue to breathe through Mumbai’s veins, whisper through its poets, and rise once again — every time a verse is born.
