Contact: 09830361795 About This Exhibition   Characterised by “gentle” characteristics and western education the rise of Bhadralok in the 19th century reflected changes in the nature of Bengali identity and subjectively. The colonial experience led to concern of Bengal elite to define for themselves a social class that would delineate their nobility and shape a new code of acceptance The “Babu” were associated with this new class of Bengalis eager to adopt Western manners and learn that they formed the bulk the workforce needed the cosmopolitan enclave of Calcutta Babumoshai enjoyed a style of life in common and was conscious of Its existence as a class organised to further its ends. The prototype Babu was one whose attire was a variety of English and Indian, claiming to be taught English and flaunting his status in society. The title “Babumoshai was added as a prefix or suffix to a person’s name to recognize (wealthy) Indians who had provided service and assistance to the British in establishing their commercial and political base in India. Raja Nabakrishna Deb of Sobhabazar Rajbari was first known ‘Babu’ from Calcutta. The rise of Bengali Babu(or Babumoshai) as a social class was mainly due to trade and Enterprise in British colonial Bengal. Post 1857, we witnessed a change in the way these Babus were represented in popular domains. The young Bengali babu was presented as a cartoon character, a ridiculous fusion of East and West, wearing a Dhoti, coat and hat, wearing a monocle, carrying an umbrella and smoking a cigar. I tried to depict their lifestyle in this exhibition. About My Art After meditative perseverance of more than two decade I the Kolkata based artist Pintu Paul has been able to arrive at a goal. I was striving for to devise an indigenous identity of my painting. My figurative forms now display dominance of linearity with a sobriety of folk tranquillity where the wisdom of neo- Indian style is transcended into post-1940-s modernistic approach of our art. In the mean time since the beginning we of twenty-first century I traversed through various forms like naturalism, realism, expressionism and different kinds of folk. Inauguration Of 2 Free Cardiac Ambulances By RK HIV AIDS Research And Care Centre, With The Support Of Shipping Corporation Of India

Mumbai. In the medical camp organized by RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center, 2 advanced cardiac ambulances were launched on 25th March 2025, which were received under the CSR of Shipping Corporation of India, which will be managed by the team of RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center in different parts of Mumbai. It has been started for the needy. The organization will try to provide the benefit of this free ambulance service to the needy of Mumbai. Actor producer director Dheeraj Kumar as the chief guest, President of RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center Dr. Dharmendra Kumar and DGM of Shipping Corporation of India Meena Karai, Deputy Manager Deepak Jagtikni along with Mahendra Poddar President Chitrakoot Maidan, Mahesh Manwani, District TB Officer of Mumbai Sunil ji were present in this program. Swarlipi Charitable Trust worked towards making Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concept of making India TB free successful by distributing nutrition kits to more than 300 TB patients here. “विक्की विद्या का वो वाला वीडियो” को लेकर चल रहे विवाद की जल्द सुनवाई होनी चाहिए,कोर्ट ने दी अगली सुनवाई की तारीख।

His paintings are adorning the walls of corporates like Goldman Sachs, and art lovers in Australia, Brazil, Dubai, Germany, Guyana, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland, Unites States, and of course India. An IIT-trained engineer and corporate CEO for over four decades, Kiyawat embraced his artistic journey later in life, drawing on a unique fusion of analytical precision and creative expression. Kiyawat’s artistic foundation was shaped through mentorship under esteemed artists including Manish Pushkale, Vasundhara Tewari Broota, Late Surinder Kaur, and Rajesh Sharma in Delhi, Julie Cohn in Berkeley, California, and Raymond Yap at NAFA-Singapore. Notably, the AIFACS and Camlin have showcased his art multiple times through national competitions, and his participation in senior artists’ camps organised by AIFACS further highlights his stature in the art community. His solo exhibitions span New Delhi, Mumbai, and Singapore, while his group shows have reached audiences in India, London, the United States, and Singapore. In 2014, his exhibition at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi was featured in their annual journal. His dedication to promoting art extends to his nomination as a Member-General Council of Sahitya Kala Parishad (SKP), an academy of the Delhi Government.
