Film producer and director Chanda Patel, known for her work in Gujarati and Hindi cinema, has become the latest victim of cybercrime. In a disturbing turn of events, her official Facebook account was reportedly hacked, with nude and obscene content being circulated under her name without her knowledge or consent. The incident came to light after Ms. Patel noticed explicit posts being shared through her profile, “Chanda Patel,” which is linked to her verified professional network. Deeply distressed by the breach, she immediately filed a formal complaint with the Senior Inspector at Versova Police Station. According to the complaint, unidentified individuals gained unauthorized access to her Facebook account and began posting vulgar content aimed at tarnishing her public image and professional credibility. “This is not just a violation of privacy; it’s a direct attack on my dignity and years of hard work in the industry. I urge the authorities to act swiftly and ensure this criminal activity is stopped,” Ms. Patel stated in her complaint. The Versova Police Cyber Cell has taken cognizance of the matter and has launched an investigation under relevant sections of the IT Act. Authorities are also coordinating with Meta (Facebook’s parent company) to trace the IP addresses involved and ensure prompt removal of the objectionable content. With her banner Blue Diamond Production, she has been associated with critically acclaimed films like Hu Tara Ishq Ma, I’m Not a Porn Star, and the upcoming Tera Mera Naata. New Indo Ecuador Film And Cultural Forum Launched To Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Noida, April 30, 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in collaboration with the Embassy of Ecuador in India, formally inaugurated the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. This initiative aims to deepen cultural, artistic, and people-to-people ties between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of India through films, media, and performing arts.
